England Netball Squad Announcement

New interim England coach Tracey Neville has announced her first squad, who will face Trinidad and Tobago in the upcoming Test Series.

Manchester Thunder captain Sara Bayman has been included alongside her Black and Yellows team-mates Helen Housby and Laura Malcolm.

This will be first time Thunder coach Neville will be able to see her international players in action ahead of the Netball World Cup in Sydney this August. The squad is missing some key players due to their commitments in the Trans-Tasman ANZ Championship. Sonia Mkoloma returns to the England squad for the first time since the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore.  Stand-out Yorkshire Jets player during the current Superleague campaign,  Sally Butters, is included in the Netball Europe squad.  Despite being born in Australia, the mid-courter is a British passport holder and qualifies for selection through her English father.

The squad selected for the May Series against Trinidad & Tobago is as follows;

Sara Bayman, Sam Cook, Pamela Cookey, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Layla Guscoth, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Helen Housby, Laura Malcolm, Sonia Mkoloma*   Reserves: Sophia Candappa and Naida Hutchinson*

Following the International Series, England head to Belfast to compete in the 2015 Netball Europe Open against nations including South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.

The squad selected for the Netball Europe Open is as follows;

Sara Bayman, Sally Butters*, Sam Cook, Pamela Cookey, Kadeen Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Tamsin Greenway*, Layla Guscoth, Helen Housby, Laura Malcolm, Sonia Mkoloma*   Reserves: Sasha Corbin and Lindsay Keable
