Thunder NPL Player’s Carter and Griffin selected for England U17‏

Two talented Thunder players have been selected to represent England U17 in the upcoming Netball Europe Championships.

Leia Griffin and Amy Carter, both from Tameside Netball Club, got the nod after impressing during a selection weekend in Sheffield.

Leia is a specialist shooter and can play both goal attack and goal shooter, while Amy is a wing defence or centre, they both feature in Manchester Thunder’s highly successful Netball Performance League squad.

The girls will take their place in the England squad for the Netball Europe tournament in Hull from March 6-8.

The competition has seen England dominant and they will be looking to retain the title they lifted on home soil in Worcester last time out.
