Last Friday was our ‘local derby’ game against Yorkshire jets, and it’s always hard to go across the Pennines and play away from home, especially for our first away game of the season, and Friday was no different.

A scrappy start from both sides set the tone for the rest of the game, however the thunder girls came out with a win… Just. Happy to get the win, although unhappy with the performance. On the back of a tough week with 3 games, we were happy to take the points and have a well earned break!

After having 3 full days off netball, we were back in training on Tuesday evening to prepare for the next round of matches, Celtic dragons on Monday live on sky! Training started with a solid match of our new made up game ‘volley-foot’ it involves a volleyball, netball nets and very few rules!
Watch out for it in the near future.. Were definitely onto something!!

After this we had a run out and got down to the serious netball stuff!! Although Celtic dragons are currently bottom of the table, it’s always a tough game against them and we can’t take anything for granted. It should be a well contested game so make sure you have your tickets, and if you can’t make it, tune in on isn’t sports 3 at 7.30pm!!
