Thunder Abu Dhabi Head Coach
Manchester Thunder are looking to recruit an experienced, well organised and motivated coach who has a passion for developing players at grassroots level.
Job Role
Work six days per week with hours set depending on the time of year and Manchester Thunders Abu Dhabi Programme.
You will be supporting the netball development in Abu Dhabi by growing and managing the Manchester Thunder Abu Dhabi pathway. You will be required to build relationships with local school aiming to enhance Manchester Thunders brand in an international Market. This is a unique and exciting role where you can become a part of one of the top netball franchises in the world.
Regular meetings with Laura Malcolm will also be required.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Netball UKCC Level 2 (E)
- Affiliated to England Netball and connected to Manchester Thunder through Engage (D)
- Current First Aid Qualification (E)
- Up to date safeguarding course completed in the last 3 years (E)
- Post-holder will be subject a DBS check at the appropriate level
- A degree qualification (or equivalent) in one of the following related fields: Sports Coaching, Sports Sciences and Sports Medicine, Sports Management (D)
- Netball UKCC Level 3 (D)
Experience/ Knowledge
- Education in sports coaching or teaching (E)
- To have experience in a netball environment both locally and internationally (D)
- To have proven experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures (E)
- To have experience implementing and developing a Netball coaching syllabus (E)
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of planning, delivering and reviewing sessions (E)
- To have knowledge and understanding of player development (E)
Personal Abilities, Aptitudes and Skills
- To have flexibility to travel when required to support projects regionally and internationally (E)
- To have the ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester Thunder and the local partner in the marketplace (E)
- To demonstrate how to coach and develop players of differing levels of ability (E)
- To communicate to players on and off the field and in a variety of settings such as informal, formal, individual or groups (E)
- To be organised in planning, preparation and execution within a project (E)
- To self-review sessions with individual players.
- To have the ability to evaluate and review programs on completion (E)
- High competency when using online documents (e.g. google docs) (E)
