The team is feeling very positive off the back of the game against Celtic Dragons on Monday. It was a massive team effort and every player that took to the court really stepped up and showed what they can offer.
The game tonight is going to be very tough and physical. It is that stage in the season where tired legs begin to show. However, we have a solid squad of 12 players, all of which can hit that court and make an impact which is a big positive for us.
This week we had a team bonding event at Café Football facing Old Trafford Football Stadium. It was a very enjoyable night full of banter and laughter. I don’t know how we had anything to chat about given the amount of time we already spend together but we never run out of things to say. Plus there is a heavy contingent of Manchester United and City supporters within our squad with the odd Liverpool and Everton ones. Needless to say it did get feisty and competitive up on the roof top pitch! The food was mega and we all ate like we haven’t been fed before, we would definitely recommend it and I hope we will be going back soon!
We have had a good week of training, perfecting set plays and trying to eliminate errors. We are more than ready to take on Loughborough Lightning so let the Thunder see the Lightning!!
